米Microsoftの新検索エンジンのアルゴリズムの姿は？

まだプレビュー版の姿しか見えない米Microsoftが開発中の新検索エンジンだが、同社のWebサイトMicrosoft Researchには様々な検索技術に関する論文が掲載されている。

とりわけ昨年から公開されている論文「VIPS: a Vision-based Page Segmentation Algorithm」で提案されている"Vision-based Page Segmentation Algorithm"の技術がその後公開された論文にも登場している。GoogleのPageRank技術やAsk Jeeves/Teoma、YSTが採用するAuthority-Hubベースのアルゴリズムを超えることができるでしょうか？
