米Googleは2005年1月5日、ラスベガスで開催されているInternational CES 2006でインテルとの提携を発表した。同日インテルが発表したViivプラットフォームでGoogleビデオ検索を利用し、消費者が簡単に自宅のテレビや携帯端末からビデオ映像を検索、閲覧、管理できるよう両社で協力していく。（詳細は後ほど）
