Reutersの記事によると米商務省国勢調査局が発表した2005年第二四半期のeコマースの小売売上高が211億4700万ドルに達し、前年同期比で26%増、前の四半期と比較して7.2%増だった。米国ではオンラインショッピングが順調に拡大している。
米商務省は200万以上ある小売企業の中から約11,000の売上データを集計している。
